We're a full-service, campus based advertising agency and creative studio, helping both on-and off-campus brands engage with students and staff. We supports and oversees The State Press and  Blaze Radio, ASU's student-run media outlets. Students working these two media properties serve as editors, reporters, columnists, photographers, videographers, hosts, DJ's, producers, programmers, designers, marketers, and advertising sales representatives. Students have control of and responsibility for all editorial content. Topic areas include news, sports, arts, business, music, and entertainment.

Essential Duties:
  • Assisting with marketing & sales staff with various duties including: Filing. Mailing. Client follow-up.
  • Marketing and contacting potential advertising clients.
  • Outdoor marketing and attending promotional events.
  • Distribute marketing materials &/or university related information to designated on or off-campus locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Must be a self-starter, good communicator, independent worker and outgoing individual who is an enthusiastic team member.
  • Knowledge on how to market events and programs to students.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Ability to work well as a team as well as independently.
  • The ideal candidate should be responsible, organized and process the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of campus programs/events (for example, University Spirit, Pride, and Tradition) and university offices is a plus.

Working Environment:
  • Largely administrative and coordination duties, but considered a hands-on operations position.
  • Primarily Tempe campus location and surrounding area.
  • On location, indoors and outdoors, various times throughout the year.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Essential Duties:
  • Proof of concept, design and production
  • Generating proofs and making revisions
  • Taking projects from concept to completion, including prepress or digital preparation
  • Assistance in other clerical areas may also be required

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Creative and accurate with attention to detail.
  • Must be familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite of products; principally Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Experience with conventional printing processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are vital. Must be well organized in terms of file management, use of time, and an understanding of production schedules.

 

Working Environment:
  • Mac systems environment.
  • Collaborative, workgroup environment.
  • Deadline¬-driven and flexible schedules depending upon client requests.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Duties are technical and complex and involve a high degree of responsibility and judgment. May supervise or direct activities of other student employees. A significant amount of specialized training or experience is required.

Essential Duties:
  • Attention to detail and respect for deadlines is necessary.
  • Excellent interviewing skills; must be able to interview subjects/conduct research and translate content into an accurate and relevant story with the intended audience in mind.
  • Conceive of and pitch story ideas that appeal to students.
  • Receive and execute multiple weekly assignments.
  • Carry out an assignment from conception to completion.
  • Produce compelling content to be published across multiple digital channels.
  • Cover events in a journalistic style
  • Learn and adhere to Arizona State University brand guidelines.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and contribute weekly story ideas.  
  • Use defined workflow for requesting, creating, editing and publishing content and deliverables.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Some classroom or work experience shooting and editing video.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Adobe suite.
  • Experience with Canon cameras.
  • Excellent at collaborating with many contributors.
  • Interest in learning about and promoting Educational Outreach and Student Services units, programs, resources and events.
  • Majoring in film, photography, journalism, marketing or any other relevant major

  • Ability to travel throughout campuses and between campuses, regardless of the weather
